Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-07 / Established by XTV LLC
XTV LLC ("we" or "the Company") provides the incoming-call blocking application "NoCall" ("the Service") with a design philosophy of minimal data collection and the highest priority on user privacy. This Privacy Policy ("this Policy") describes how user information is handled in connection with the Service.
We literally don't know who you are.
The Service has no sign-up and no user account of any kind. We operate no server that stores your phone numbers, notes, settings, or call history. This is not a technical limitation — it is a deliberate design choice to protect user privacy at the most fundamental level.
Article 1 — Information We Do Not Collect
The Service does not collect any of the following:
- Email addresses, passwords, or any account credentials (there is no account)
- Name, age, gender, or date of birth
- Home address
- The user's own phone number
- Your contact list (device address book)
- GPS location data
- Camera, microphone, or other audio/visual data
- SMS or message content
- Recordings or transcripts of your calls
As a result, it is technically impossible for us to identify any individual user.
Article 2 — Data Stored Only on Your Device
- The following data is stored only in your device's local storage and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else:
- The phone numbers you add to your blocklist, together with any optional notes and their on/off state
- Your "Calls from abroad" setting and your list of allowed countries
- Your history of blocked calls (the most recent 100 entries)
- Your notification preference for blocked calls (off by default)
- Android Auto Backup is disabled for the Service. This means the data above is not backed up to Google and is not automatically transferred to a new device. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of it.
- Because this data never leaves your device, we have no access to it and cannot view, recover, or restore it on your behalf.
Article 3 — How Call Blocking Works, and Its Limitations
- The Service uses Android's call-screening role (
CallScreeningService), which you grant to the app in your device's settings. When a call comes in, Android passes the caller's number to the app, which decides whether to allow or reject the call before the phone rings. - Calls rejected by the Service appear in your phone's own call log, as with any rejected call. The Service additionally keeps its own history of the most recent 100 blocked calls, as described in Article 2.
- The following limitations apply:
- Calls with no caller ID (private or unknown numbers) are not blocked.
- Internet-based calls, such as LINE calls or WhatsApp calls, are not covered.
- If your device maker's own call-blocking feature or another call-screening app is active on your device, it may take priority over the Service and override its decisions.
- A phone number that cannot be parsed is allowed through rather than blocked.
Article 4 — Permissions
- The Service requests the following, all of which you grant explicitly in your device's settings:
- The call-screening role, required to screen incoming calls as described in Article 3
- The notification permission (
POST_NOTIFICATIONS), requested only if you turn on the optional notification for blocked calls
- The Service does not request your contacts, call-log, or phone-state permissions. When you pick a number from your contacts to add to the blocklist, the Service uses Android's own contact picker, which returns only the single number you chose; the Service never reads your address book directly.
Article 5 — Premium Subscription and RevenueCat
- The Service is free to use for up to 3 blocked numbers.
- NoCall Premium is a monthly auto-renewing subscription, purchased through the Google Play Billing system provided by Google LLC, that unlocks unlimited blocked numbers and the "Calls from abroad" feature.
- Subscription status is managed on our behalf by RevenueCat, Inc. (headquartered in the United States). RevenueCat generates an anonymous app user ID on your device — it is not linked to your name, email address, or any other personal information. When you purchase or renew Premium, your Google Play purchase token and the product ID are sent to RevenueCat so that it can validate the purchase and track renewals, cancellations, and expiry.
- Card numbers, expiry dates, and other payment details are handled exclusively by Google Play. Neither we nor RevenueCat ever see or store them.
- RevenueCat retains your subscription records (the purchase token, the anonymous app user ID, the product ID, and subscription status history) until you request their deletion via the contact details in Article 12. Deleting these records does not cancel your Google Play subscription, which must be canceled separately in Google Play.
- You may restore a previous purchase at any time using "Restore purchase" in Settings or on the paywall screen, provided you are signed in with the same Google account used for the original purchase.
Article 6 — Sub-processors
We entrust the processing described above to the following service providers solely for the purpose of delivering the Service:
| Sub-Processor | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google LLC (headquartered in the United States) / Google Play | Payment processing (Premium subscription billing via Google Play Billing). We never see or store your card details. | https://policies.google.com/privacy |
| RevenueCat, Inc. (headquartered in the United States) | Validation, tracking, and aggregation of Premium subscription status, as described in Article 5 | https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy |
These sub-processors are contractually obligated to handle data appropriately in accordance with our agreements with them. We do not use any other third-party service — including any analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDK — inside the Service.
Article 7 — International Data Transfers
- Subscription-related data described in Article 5 is held on servers operated by Google Play (US region) and RevenueCat (US region). We ourselves do not operate any server that holds personal data, because all other data described in Article 2 stays on your device.
- These sub-processors implement appropriate data protection measures, including technical and organizational safeguards such as encryption.
- Pursuant to Article 28 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Japan), please contact us separately for information regarding the handling of personal information by the above transfer recipients.
Article 8 — Data Retention and Deletion
- All data described in Article 2 (your blocklist, notes, settings, and history) lives only on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes it immediately and permanently; we have no copy to retain or delete on our side.
- Your subscription records held by RevenueCat are retained as described in Article 5, until you request their deletion.
- Records of Premium purchases and billing themselves are separately retained by Google Play (Google LLC) and are handled in accordance with Google Play's terms.
Article 9 — Your Rights
Because almost all data related to the Service lives on your device and nowhere else, you can exercise your rights over it directly and immediately:
- Right of access: You can view your blocklist, settings, and blocked-call history at any time within the app itself.
- Right to deletion: Uninstalling the app immediately and permanently deletes all data described in Article 2.
- Deletion of RevenueCat records: To request deletion of the subscription records described in Article 5, please contact us via the details in Article 12. Doing so does not cancel your Google Play subscription.
- Deletion requests for records held by Google Play: For requests to delete purchase or billing records held by Google Play, please contact Google directly.
Article 10 — No Ads, No Analytics SDK, and Our Website
- The Service contains no advertising of any kind and displays no third-party ads.
- The Service does not use any analytics or tracking SDK — including Firebase and Meta — and we do not use any advertising identifier.
- However, our website (no-dial.com) uses Google Analytics, an analytics tool provided by Google LLC, to understand and improve how the site is used. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect browsing information (pages viewed, time on page, approximate region, browser type, etc.); this information does not include personally identifying details such as your name or address. The collected information is handled in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can disable this data collection at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Article 11 — Changes to This Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
- When changes are made, we will notify users of the content and effective date through in-app notifications.
- For material changes (such as the addition of new categories of information collected or new third-party recipients), we will obtain renewed consent from users.
